Stewart Baker established CBI Business Brokers in Atlantic Canada in 1997 and has served as President of the company since that time. From the beginning, Stu set out to assemble a highly motivated team of professionals with complimentary fields of expertise to create the Atlantic Provinces’ only regional business broker. Under his guidance CBI has become the leading business brokerage in Atlantic Canada.
Stu brings more than fifteen years of business brokerage experience and over twenty years of legal expertise to CBI clients. He possesses the required manager’s and broker’s licenses in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. His responsibilities include the overall management of CBI and the supervision of the CBI business brokers in Saint John, Moncton, Fredericton and Halifax. In addition, Stu particularly enjoys working with the owners of businesses that are a little out of the ordinary to develop exit strategies that meet their goals.
Prior to CBI, Stu practiced law for over twenty years as a partner in a Saint John law firm, concentrating in the areas of commercial, business, real estate and franchise law. In addition, he has served as General Counsel for a large real estate development company and is a former Chairman of the New Brunswick Employment Standards Tribunal.
Stu and his wife, Carol, reside in St. Andrews, New Brunswick.

Darryl Goyetche is an entrepreneurial business professional with a 35 year career representing business owners of small and large enterprises throughout Atlantic Canada. Prior to joining CBI Business Brokers, he had a distinguished career serving variously as CEO of the Saint John Board of Trade, Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce and Atlantic Provinces Chamber of Commerce. He also served as a senior executive with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Montreal and Ottawa. Early in his career, he was a broadcast journalist in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick and a public relations specialist with VIA Rail Canada.
Since joining CBI in 2006, Darryl has established an outstanding record of delivering results for his clients. He has represented a wide range of clients including companies in the manufacturing, retail, distribution, business services, food service and hospitality industries, and has performed market price valuations for a wide variety of companies both large and small. Darryl has negotiated deals that equalled or exceeded clients’ expectations. His wide-ranging skills and experience in buying/selling decision-making, due diligence, deal negotiations and transaction execution ensure that clients receive the best possible representation.
Darryl is a graduate of the Canadian Institute for Organization Management at the University of Western Ontario. He is a member of the New Brunswick Real Estate Association and Canadian Real Estate Association. He has served as an Employer Panel Member of the Employment Insurance Board of Referees, was a Director of the Canadian Society of Association Executives – N.B. and the Canadian Public Relations Society – N.B., served as Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada, and is a former Director of Enterprise Saint John. He was honoured as Chamber of Commerce CEO of the Year in Canada in 1983, received the Council of Excellence Award from the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada in 1998, and was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal for Community Service in 2002.

Sara is an award winning entrepreneur, a professionally certified business coach and a seasoned trainer, with over 20 years experience in sales and service industries including Retail, Telecommunications, Automotive, Real Estate and Marketing. A Certified Executive Coach, Business Coach, and Career Coach, she is a member of the International Coaching Federation.
Sara brings a passion for business and a clear understanding of entrepreneurship. A true self starter with a great idea, she created and operated a successful retail business for 5 years and is well versed in Marketing, Exit/ Succession Planning, Business Planning, New Business Start Up, Sales and Service Training, Team Development, Operational Management, and Human Resources.
She is a recipient of a Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and has been recognized for her dedication to business and community involvement. An active participant with Youth Entrepreneur Initiative and Women in Business, Sara has served as chair on a community economic development board and committed herself to other board roles within non-profit organizations and community groups.

Andrew has over 20 years of experience in business ownership and management in the fields of retail, franchising, manufacturing, real estate development and export market development.
Since 1998, as co-founder and Vice President of ElectroBraid Fence Ltd, Andrew has developed experience in manufacturing, global sourcing, export development, conventional international marketing, internet marketing, in-store retail marketing, patents and patent enforcement. Today, ElectroBraid is North America’s top branded electric horse fence with export sales to Europe, Australia and New Zealand. It is currently under an exclusive global marketing agreement with the largest fence supplier in North America.
In the 1990s Andrew was President of Atlantic Corrosion Control Ltd, exclusive distributor for Rust Check in Atlantic Canada. Andrew implemented an innovative franchise program which resulted in an 8 to 10 fold market penetration compared to Rust Check Canada’s national per capita average.
Throughout his career, Andrew has been involved in the development of commercial shopping malls and residential sub-division in Atlantic Canada through the family businesses of Bryson Associates Limited and Three Brooks Development Corporation Limited.

Duncan is a seasoned Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of comptrollership, tax, financial and succession planning experience. He has worked extensively in property development, manufacturing, heavy equipment supply, lumber, wholesale, distribution, high tech and hospitality sectors.
Tax planning and transaction structuring are crucial to the success of every transaction and CBI's goal is to secure the best after-tax value for the owners of each of the companies that CBI is engaged to market. Duncan works with CBI clients to ensure that all tax options and their impact on net cash and family planning have been fully considered.
Duncan has two grown children and has lived for the past 25 years with his wife, Pam in Fredericton. He has served a long list of Provincial and local charities, professional and arts groups. A former UNB hockey player, he continues to enjoy and support various levels of sport.

Gary Belding graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1977 and also pursued his studies at the senior level with the Certified General Accountants Association. Gary has over 37 years experience in the private and public sectors including retail management, business and financial consulting as well as economic development encompassing business development and commercial lending. From June 1998 until his retirement in April 2011, Gary was the Manager of Financial Programs with the provincial department of Business New Brunswick, managing professional staff and a loan portfolio of in excess of $600 million. Gary currently operates his own business, Belding Business Financing Solutions, raising capital for business start up and expansions. Gary has extensive contacts within the Fredericton business community. He is a past director of the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce and has championed a number of fund raising activities in the Fredericton Area. Gary is a member as well as past local President and Area 13 Governor of District 45 Toastmasters and has achieved his Distinguished Toastmasters designation from Toastmasters International, the highest educational award.
Gary's strengths include financial analysis and accessing capital for term financing and working capital for business acquisitions, start-ups and expansions through sources such as government support programs, conventional lenders, private sources of funding and venture capital.

Halifax Alan Mitchell Member Advisory Board 902-434-2878
Alan was a CBI Associate from 1997 to 1998 and again from 2005 to 2009. Prior to joining CBI, he had more than 30 years of experience in law, business and government. He was a partner in a law firm in Halifax/Dartmouth for many years with experience in real estate, business and administrative law. He was also the owner and President of Westmount Windows Limited, a major manufacturer of windows for the Nova Scotia Market. In 1993 Alan was elected to the Legislative Assembly and served as Minister of Justice and Attorney General for the Province of Nova Scotia. In 1998 he formed a new company to distribute automatic teller machines and before selling the company in 2005, had grown the company to have the largest market share in Atlantic Canada.
Alan is now semi-retired and, in addition to remaining part of the CBI team, he manages his commercial building in Burnside and devotes his time to not for profit organizations in the HRM.

A resident of Antigonish since 2000 and graduate of St. Francis Xavier University (BBA), Richard's financial services training began in Saint John, NB in 1985. He ran an investment/financial planning practice in Saint John for 15 years prior to moving to Nova Scotia.
For several years, while in New Brunswick, he served as the nightly financial market commentator for "CBC Radio One" and also wrote a financial column for the provincial daily "The Telegraph Journal". Richard holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation through the Financial Planning Standards Council.
Throughout his career, he has frequently given lectures and workshops on various financial planning and related topics. The main focus of Richard's practice is investment, estate, tax, retirement and business succession planning.
